What we do

End-to-end electronic manufacturing

From bare-board fabrication through to a fully tested, coated and finished assembly — all under one roof.

01

PCB Loading

Surface-mount, through-hole and custom component placement, each with the right preparation and placement technique.

02

Automatic Optical Inspection

A 3-CCD colour camera system visually inspects a wide range of defects across every assembled board.

03

PCB Board Testing

In-Circuit Testing (ICT) uses a bed-of-nails jig to access nodes across the board for a full suite of tests.

04

Conformal Coating

Selective, accurate coating for assemblies destined for harsh operating environments.

05

Ultrasonic Welding

A fast, established method for joining thermoplastic materials to finished products.

06

Low-Melt Overmoulding

A simple way to waterproof assemblies while adding mechanical support and strain relief.

New capability

PCB fabrication is now onshore

Alfatron has begun fabricating printed circuit boards in Australia — a milestone for the nation's onshore electronic manufacturing capability. We're currently accepting up to 4-layer boards in prototype and small-volume quantities.

Prototyping

Prototype PCB assembly, 5–7 day turnaround

Our MY700 Jetprinter replaces the conventional solder stencil, placing paste from a Gerber file with an inkjet-style head — individually tuned for every component and re-pasted until perfect.

  • No solder screens required — saving stencil cost on every revision
  • Individual pads can be addressed to add or remove paste
  • Camera-inspected placement for a perfect result, first pass
